Description:
This course will describe the many benefits wind ballasted (vented) roofing systems, including material and labor savings and a history of proven performance and testing, as well as which project types that are most ideal for this system.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn the history of wind ballasted (vented) roofing systems under the ASTM D-6630 Standard – (Standard Guide for Low-Slope Insulated Roof Membrane Assembly Performance)
- Understand the basic principles of wind ballasted (vented) roofing systems, including methods of installation, and how the system components are designed to perform
- Learn which projects are most ideal for wind ballasted (vented) roofing systems
- Learn about the efficiency of wind ballasted (vented) roofing systems and their immense savings on adhesives, plates and fasteners, and weighted ballast
