High-Performance Below-Grade Building Insulation

Description:
This presentation will help attendees analyze the key physical properties of different EPS products and specify EPS in relation to energy and building codes. The course will highlight the long-term advantages of using EPS in different building applications, as well as the features and benefits of different EPS products (standard, faced, and composites) and which roofing applications they are used in. Attendees will review how Geofoam reduces labor and the need for machinery during residential and commercial projects.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Understand what EPS insulation is and how it is made.
  2. Identify when EPS is specified in relation to energy and building codes through real life projects.
  3. Compare EPS insulation’s long-term performance with other insulation products through research studies.
  4. Design EPS into engineered below-grade applications to provide long-term, stable thermal efficiency.
  5. Learn how Geofoam can be used as commercial or residential structural fill through real-life projects.
