Webinar - Insulation Inconsistencies in the Building Envelope

Description:
The building envelope is critical part of every building. However, the roof and wall systems are handled very differently. These differences will be discussed in details. Additionally, we will talk about types of insulation used in the building envelope and how architects can be more consistent in their specifications of building envelope materials. This will improve the thermal efficiency of our buildings today. Fire safety, building codes, and thermal performance will be knitted into this presentation as well.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize the areas within the building envelope where continuous insulation materials are required and understand the common types of insulations used.
  2. Articulate the benefits and shortcomings of each insulation material involved with the various building envelope areas of use.
  3. Understand the nuances between roof and wall insulations including functionality requirements and systemization.
  4. Verbalize the inconsistencies between roof insulations and wall insulations used in the building envelope today.
